Economic network computer

"The economic network computer" is a description, not a name. It describes what the ecsa utility-network is: the distributed infrastructure on which agents and networks define, compute, and coordinate their own value systems.

The description earns its keep. The substrate functions like a runtime where value is programmable, relationships are computable, coordination is decentralized, and utility is multi-dimensional and generated at the edge. It is not a machine, a blockchain, or a centralized platform, but a composable protocol substrate enabling economic computation across a network of autonomous spaces: the first system built not just to record economic activity, but to compute economic intelligence directly in protocol.

Why it matters now: legacy systems — banks, markets, platforms, and most blockchains — treat economic coordination as a data processing problem. They store transactions, balances, or ownership, but not the meaning or semantics of value. Economic agency remains limited to transferring tokens or optimizing for price. The substrate enables, by contrast: semantic expressivity (what counts as value can be defined and evolved); distributed coordination (agents collaborate through protocols, not intermediaries); and end-to-end utility generation (economic spaces run their own value logic natively). This transforms networks into economic actors, not just data processors.

What it enables: economic agency at the edge, where every participant becomes a value-definer; programmable economies, where agents launch their own economic spaces with custom logic; interoperability of meaning, where value forms translate and compose across spaces; and self-sustaining utility, metered in uECSA, the substrate's credit unit.

The subordination, stated: the canonical name of the thing is the ecsa utility-network — economic space #0, the actual underlying of uECSA. "Economic network computer" is one true description of it, kept because it is vivid, retired as a name.
